No. The recording process is simple, non-invasive, and completely painless — you can do it at home with the kit we provide. Your pet’s heart is remarkably similar to a baby’s in size and rhythm, so the same fetal doppler device works perfectly for dogs and cats. You’ll receive clear, step-by-step guidance to help you capture a clean recording in just 10-15 minutes, with no stress to your pet and no vet visit required. If your pet is calm and comfortable at home, that’s the ideal environment for recording.
Can I choose the style of music?
Not in the traditional sense. Each piece is shaped entirely by your heart’s real frequencies, rhythms, and harmonic content — your cardiac data guides the scale, mode, tempo, and overall structure. Rather than imposing a genre or personal taste, I follow what your heart reveals and translate it into music.
The finished work is then produced and recorded in a professional studio, using high-end instruments and sound design to honour what your heart has expressed.
Is this scientifically valid?
The process is grounded in real signal work: we analyse your recording for rhythm and frequency content (including harmonic structure) and use that information as compositional constraints. The “scientific” part is the analysis and mapping; the “artistic” part is the composition built from those findings.
How is this different from music therapy?
SonoHeart Music is a commissioned sonic artwork — not a clinical service. It is created from your real cardiac recording and shaped into a personal musical piece by the composer behind the project. People often describe it as grounding and meaningful, but it is not presented as treatment or medical care.
What happens to my cardiac data?
Your recording is treated as private. We use it only to create your composition and to support any revisions you request. We don’t sell or share recordings, and you can ask us to delete your files at any time after delivery.
Do you offer refunds?
Because each piece is commissioned and made-to-order from your personal recording, refunds are generally not offered once composition has begun. If there’s a technical issue with the recording quality, we’ll guide you to re-record so the work can be completed properly.

I’m Mario Benitez — a Senior Music Teacher, composer, and music producer, with university studies in Psychology (UNMDP) and training in Sound Engineering — and SonoHeart Music began with a moment I still remember with absolute clarity.
In 1995, while living in Southern California (Riverside / Los Angeles), I witnessed something that forever changed the way I understand sound. In a hospital in Los Angeles, mothers stayed beside their children in a coma and did one simple thing, again and again: they placed headphones on them and played music. What made headlines around the world as something “never seen before” was this: out of 22 children, 18 came out of coma — almost instantly. I don’t call it magic. I call it presence, rhythm, and connection.
That moment left me with a question that never let me go:
If music can reach a human being where words can’t… what is the most personal rhythm of all?
I returned again and again to one truth: the body has many rhythms, but the heart is the one that literally sounds — a living signature you can record, analyse, and translate. That’s where my work began: what I first called Sonotherapy, which later became SonoHeart Music.
Today, from my studio overlooking the Irish Sea, I compose unrepeatable works shaped by each person’s cardiac frequency signature — crafted with precision, restraint, and intention.
